Hold an MA from Maseno University in Project Planning & Management and is currently completing her doctoral degree (PHD) in Planning at Maseno University.
She currently lectures at Maseno University School of Planning & Architecture within the department of Urban & Regional Planning and has been involved in marketplace research under Mistra Urban Futures grant; currently involved as researcher from Maseno University on public engagement for the Kisumu County Complex Urban Systems for Sustainability and Health (CUSSH), Enrichment Award Programme.
She has wide experience working in government, private sector and the civil society over the last two decades. She served in a research and training capacity with the Government of Kenya’s National Environment Secretariat, The Kenya/Netherlands Bilateral Programme, and the Kenya Water & Sanitation Programme (SIDA/ DANIDA) within the Ministry of Water attached to Lake Victoria South Water service Board.
Has undertaken extensive assignments focusing on, research and Evaluations in Southern Sudan Ethiopia, Burundi, India, The Gambia, and within East Africa She has wide experience in Strategic Planning processes, community and institutional based monitoring & evaluation and incorporating of participatory methodologies in appraisal, planning and monitoring. She has been involved in development of management strategies in different organizations and setting up management structures for various institutions – government, NGO, private sector.
